the colour dawn reaches a few minutes in. the colour of the inside of
the wrist. the colour of a ribbon tied around something kept in a
drawer for years.
blush is the only colour in the building that comes from people. it
arrives unbidden. it cannot be applied; it has to happen. you find it on
a porcelain cup in kitchen, on the early sky over garden, on the
petals of one specific flower that nobody can name.
pinker than claret, gentler than alizarin. a colour that means
"without intending to."
