i drew this from one side of the street, between half past eight and ten. it is one night. tomorrow the pattern will be similar but never identical. some windows that were lit are not; one or two new ones will appear behind curtains that did not have them.
the small amber rectangles are the kitchens and studies. the candle marks are guesses: one cannot always tell from below. the unlit windows are not empty rooms; many of them are people sleeping, which is the deepest light of all and the hardest to draw.
