on arrival

You are at the threshold. There will be no one at the door. The keeper makes one round of the building each day; you will most likely not see them.

You may enter through any visible portal. Most readers begin with the atlas or the wings. Some enter randomly through the door. Either approach is acceptable to the labyrinth.

navigation

Every page bears a small return-link to atlas and index at the lower right. Every page records a trail of what you have visited (kept in your browser, never sent). Visited rooms appear dimmer; unvisited rooms remain bright. This is the only progress sometemple records about you.

If you find yourself elsewhere than where you meant to go, this is also acceptable. The labyrinth contains approximately fourteen hundred rooms; arrival anywhere else is statistically likely.

on departure

You may leave whenever you wish. The threshold remains as you found it. The labyrinth records nothing about you that does not remain in your browser. The keeper has no list. There is no register at the door.

Should you wish to return, the door will open. Should you not, the door will also do that.
